To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing you to verify the authenticity of Roger Poisson, whose work on the Shroud of Turin and the messages, which he has received, are without doubt, credible and worthy of our serious attention. Others are beginning to pay the attention, which we in this city would be wise to do, as more and more promises, of which he has heard, are being manifest, and thus becoming realities. Soon, many will be here, in Winnipeg to see for themselves the revelations Roger has been given.

We should find ourselves in the position of understanding what his experience has entailed. Everything will want to be known by others. I will, therefore, give you a brief background of him.

I came to know him through a colleague who knew I was searching for something meaningful in life. At a casual get­ together, she spoke to me of this unusual man- her plumber ­who had come to her house to do a job for her and had ended up telling her fantastic things -like voices that he had heard and strange occurrences he had seen, such as images of Jesus and Mary appearing on pictures he had taken from a T. V set which was turned off. I am a curious person and not afraid of the unusual. But I am sceptical by nature, being a teacher by profession, trained in imparting a balanced perspective to the students or adults whom I teach.

I decided to meet this Roger and find out what was going on. He welcomed me to his house and said he would tell me as much as I would like to know. I was a little nervous as I knocked at his door, but after a little while talking to the man, found he was very truthful and as incredulous as anyone could be at the things happening to him. I asked to see the photographs and was amazed to see the images on them. I of course wondered what type of trick photography was being done. I listened to all of his information and left, deep in thought.

I met with him several times over the next years, always skeptical but listening, watching and at times, believing that there was no way that this man could have made up all the things he was involved in. He was also receiving no pay for his work, which had now expanded to spending hours with people who were really down and out. The amazing thing was that even if one didn’t believe in all the unusual coincidences that were happening to him and to others involved with him, one couldn’t deny that people who were emotionally sick, alcoholic, deviant, depressed or hopeless, were actually healing and healing in ways that they had never healed before, after being with him. He said always that it was not his work but the work of “Joe” the One that we should always be truly thankful to. Roger never spoke of religion - he spoke of spirituality, fundamental, deeply rooted spirituality and the importance of everyone finding it again within him or herself. The messages he heard and the visual images he was given were guides to get us all to the place of spirituality. To hear these messages, which he has been asked to put on tape, and to read the messages, which he has been asked to copy down, is to be refreshed and restored because of the beauty, clarity and depth of the information contained within them. I tell myself, if it is not of Cod, it is the closest I have ever felt to It. Nothing has had greater impact on me, or many others, than these messages and images. And I have seen miracles, too. I have seen a woman who could not go out in public because of a decaying, excremental odor which came from her, because of her illness, be healed. In embracing her, I smelled orange petals. She was cured a few months ago and to this day, lives a normal, very happy life. I have known of an old woman hit on the head with a bar by muggers, needing no operations and being able to leave the hospital, well, because Roger was told it would be so. I have met young men who have committed crimes against children in their own personal lives, ready and willing to change their lives with the Power Roger is able to hook them up with. I have shaken hands with these people, truly forgiving of them in my heart, as I smiled at them, knowing they could start again.

There are hundreds of these incidents, so many that I couldn’t give all the details of them. I can relate to you a little of how Roger came to be contacted in the way he was.

On May 14, 1989, Roger Poisson, a plumber by trade, found himself in a woman’s house, repairing her plumbing. He noticed a picture of the Shroud of Turin on the wall and after talking to the woman about it, she gave it to him to take home and hang in a place of honor. This he did.  When he did so, he heard a voice coming from it, asking, “Do You Love Me?” Mr. Poisson can describe this incident in great detail. I will not do so here.

What followed were hundreds of strange events and what some would call miracles, others - coincidences. Believing he had been called on to answer the commands of the messages, (for he began receiving information on a regular basis) Roger began to devote his life to doing what was asked of him, through the messages. He was told to go to addresses that he knew nothing about and that there, a suicidal woman or a desperate young man would need his help. He would go, never knowing what to say or do when he arrived, but being guided to do exactly the right thing or say exactly the right thing to help the person. Roger began to receive phone calls because people who were desperate heard how he could bring help to them through the compassion of the Creator and their belief in Him. There are, as I have described above, several people who have left hospitals with inexplicable cures.

Roger began to work less and less on his trade and more and more with his other work. He soon received so many phone calls and requests for help that his sleep shrank to two or three hours a night. And he has maintained that schedule to this day. Equally remarkable is the assignment he has been given to do to bring messages of the Creator to others. He was told to photograph certain things and look for images once the pictures were developed.

Remarkable images have been seen, in pictures of trees, rocks, and even television screens that were turned off. These pictures are amazing to see and Roger will share them with anyone wishing to see them.

His biggest assignment, which he has worked tirelessly on, has been to take pictures of a little spot on the cheek of the face on the Shroud of Turin, from the poster (whose eyes have opened). After taking the pictures, Roger has had them enlarged several times. Incredible images can then be seen Mary, Jesus, the Pope, children, Native people, and even Santa Claus. When one looks at these blow-ups, one can often see other people one knows, or even oneself Roger has taken thousands of these photographs and again, will show any of them to those who are curious.

As well, he has recorded talks he has received so that the beauty of the lessons would not go unheard by others. They have been examined by priests who acknowledge that the content is so high that they could not have come from the mind of this man, who only has a Grade 9 education. The tapes too are available and I am nearing the completion of a transcription of the tapes into print for publication.

Roger was on Welfare for a while, but now, is on nothing.  He exists and works by the small donations that others give him to carry on this incredible work. All sales of the book will go to feed the hungry of the world. He does not do this for profit, but for what he has been told to do - to change the hearts of mankind.

As busy as he is, Roger would meet with anyone who is interested in these occurrences - even to examine the processes in detail. He welcomes investigations, for he too finds the situations incredible. At the beginning, he doubted his own sanity and admitted himself to the psychiatric unit of the Victoria Hospital in Winnipeg. He was released after testing was done, showing no abnormalities in his functioning.

Through the messages, Roger has been told to announce several things, which have come about. He foretold the break­up of Russia, the results of the Referendum in Canada and now, the huge changes that are about to take place in the world. This year is to be the most astounding year. In it, chaos and upheaval will take place. I am not a liberty to state these things but he will tell you of significant changes to come.

Again, I believe you will find this man and the occurrences as unusual and intriguing as I have. I welcome you to contact him. I have known him for 7 years and as a teacher myself; have found his sincerity and authenticity without question.
