Mr. Roger Poisson
Mission of the Shroud
Dear Roger:
This letter is to acknowledge that I have seen a very positive change in
Perry Antoine. Perry is my younger brother and as an older sister he has
become an excellent example to me and my partner and children. He has been
residing at your Mission for the last three weeks and in my entire life
I’ve never seen Perry so full of life and very much alive in his strong
belief of Jesus Christ and the creator. He has been making plans for the
future in order to better himself. He wants to make a grass dancer outfit
so that he can dance pow-wow. He’s only stayed at the Mission for
a short time but I must say that I am very proud of him. He’s attended
a few A.A. meetings and also I’ve had the opportunity to attend some
sharing circles with Perry and members of the Mission and also an elder
by the name of Ed was present. This is very beneficial for him because as
an Aboriginal we need to smudge and part of our healing comes from these
sharing circles.
I am very proud of Perry and with his daily growth in Jesus Christ and the
full support of the Mission and these sharing circles, he will soon finish
his three months. I would like to see Perry continue on with the work of
the Mission. It is so good to see the massive, positive change in him. My
sister Velma and I want Perry to keep being on the work of the Lord and
keep on being himself. We love him very much.
Keep up with your full support of Perry and please don’t give up on
him, as the saying goes ‘the Lord will not give you anything you can’t
handle’. Thank you for taking good care of Perry!
Yours truly,
Evelyn Hayden, sister of Perry Antoine
