What we expect from politicians we should be able to dish out ourselves; mainly, honesty. At a time like now, where the majority claims that there is no choice, how can you vote? As a young woman said on TV last night, and I quote: “What am I supposed to do? Vote for the less evil one?” That was a young woman who was not prepared to let anyone, just anyone, carry her purse around for her.
The duty towards election it is to vote, but not to vote wrong. And you cannot vote simply to have someone to fill the seat, knowing that by the past records, not one is greater than the other. What do we do? If no one votes, let us ask the question: what happens then, if nobody at all voted? The answer is: that the nation would be plunged in its worst turmoil because parliament has been dissolved and only during the election campaign is the previous government the emergency government, should a crisis arise.
Quite alarming. Why must we (by obligation) vote for someone that you don’t trust or that has not given you satisfying evidence of the platform and their agenda for the years to come? The mudslinging merely tells you that they all have the same problem, trying to dissolve the reputation of each other while showing nothing constructive as a means to at least show changes to their previous attitude.
One wants a mandate; a mandate for what? Tell us at least! You cannot speak only of the tax system that should not be lessened when the corruption and scandals have simply showed a surplus since our deficit has not increased since all this corruption. These words are not about the Liberals only, but also the Conservatives, under Brian Mulroney.
Democracy takes its roots according to man, in the ability to destroy the opponent, without changing anything to better the unified standard of this fragmented nation. We have proposed solutions to healthcare, social services, solicitor’s general’s department, but all had to be with the prerequisite of admitting being part of the corruption and scandals that are still at the hearts of all Canadians. What do we suggest?
We are asked what we want for a new nation. Hasn’t it been clear by the polls that we want honesty and truth? Neither of the two have been used since the declaration of election and no program or project guaranteeing the healthcare system to survive when in Ontario, just as in Ottawa in the past, the Liberals went against their words and broke the healthcare system and federally, the GST remains; plus the scandals and how could any Canadian even think that Paul Martin is ay greater than Stephen Harper or Stephen Harper greater than Paul Martin?
What will I do, myself, the writer of this document, where I am left with my free will to decide on June the 28th? And my decision is clear: that I do not believe in anyone that hasn’t showed me with facts, a new way for a new Canada. I’m a bit like Thomas. I have to see to believe. But remember, that Jesus saw fit to make him see and touch his wound in order to believe. By the way, he was not cast out for having doubted, but he was stronger after he saw the reality of what was in front of him.
I don’t intend to vote. That is my vote. I cannot approve of corruption, regardless of where it comes from, for otherwise, I would be a part of it. I would not invite a thief to sleep over knowing that he as not change of heart. Perhaps I’ll try to convert him first, but if he’s not interested, as the political parties of today, then they could ride their buses where they want to and I will wait, like I hope most Canadians will do.
The future is now. Not in 2050, as Paul Martin wrote to me, that it was his platform. I’m interested in today, because 2050 will depend on what I do today, and most important today, is the structure of the family for the politicians of the year 2050.
I leave you to your own decision but I will never make wrong be right and sleep well at night. If we must take someone, I’d take a woman before a man. Yes, some of them have failed too, but they’re not in the habit of corruption as our politicians of today.
Many things I know that I can’t speak of, but with the little respect that politicians have for the electorate, do they deserve that we pay any attention to their schemes and promises that they never kept?
Good journey onto you the readers, and perhaps we should dig the nation, perhaps in our city to find credible people with a good standing with moral values, and interest in the majority that are in poverty and broken down families. Remember, those are the ones that Christ took for followers and they have the longest standing spiritual record since the beginning of time. Imagine Mary of Magdalene, most respected versus those who believe to be the elect, knowing not that they are the lesser.
God bless you. Thank you for reading. I’d rather wait then repeat the same mistake again. I may get in the habit of it and that is uncaring, since it’s about honesty. I find no one honest enough to run this government.
Greetings onto you.
Yours truly,
Roger Poisson
