We would like to remind you of Crimestoppers, where you promote that you would pay anyone up to $2,000 to resolve crimes, where here it is offered for free and silence is kept.  Why?

The North end of Winnipeg, those that you call street gangs, have been created by the social pressures put on the family, like in the article that you were delivered, where you use the excuse of ‘political issues’, while the children are still out there without a place in hiding, with another family on social assistance that must divide their food in two families and keep it secret because prior to this residence, the victim was with another family on welfare that got cut off for letting her in.

If you speak of justice and peace, I would advise you to start looking at these situations, where the children of the street are like the ones out there today because of a system of proud men who ride on their popularity of being tough; which is more like having no heart towards the suffering children that we lessen in our esteem because of the conditions we put them in.

I don’t want your votes.  I don’t want your approval.  I don’t want anything from bureaucracy.  Because I work voluntarily with no wages for the last 17 years, to change this corrupted system or a system of ignorant people believing they have answers to the problems that they create.  I am not afraid to face anyone and not under the political banner, because this political venture seems to be the only way to get things changed, for otherwise, you are unmoveable.  Your chairs are too comfortable.

I remember nine years ago, a police officer from the city of Winnipeg came knocking on my door on Christmas day with his wife, because he was going to be fired for stealing from the department.  At the time, this man said he believed in what I was doing.  That was in 1979 and that after so many years on the force, he was going to lose pension and all.

I accepted to meet with his superior at 151 Princess, on the 5th floor, where sitting on a bench in front of a boardroom filled with the tough people, he made me wait for three quarters of an hour where they were telling dirty jokes about woman on company time.  And when the superior by the name of Cal Hughes came to me with a pad and pencil asking me my name and birthday.  I told him: “You better give me the pad and the pencil so I could get that from you because I’m paying your wages to talk about dirty jokes and you’re trying to throw the book at David Lowen while you’re corrupting the department in your actions in that room.”  Obviously the same thing is still going on because these children are still out there and we will go to the Supreme Court if we must but we will change the attitude of the bureaucrats of this nation with their consent or against their free will.  But money will not talk.  Justice and peace only will and the safety of Winnipeg is endangered by forming more criminals in criminal negligence by throwing people on the street.

If the children had been secure for shelter and food at the time that the mother was being labelled as a welfare fraud; which now we have proof that she did not commit the crime, one month later.  We demand that this woman be compensated for damages. Criminal negligence and child abuse by the government and that the Social Service system be changed for all people on assistance, immediately, through a commission of inquiry, independent of political affiliation and working for the well being of the family.

We thank you for reading.  And evidence will be posted of this crime in the next few days because it will not be covered up.  It will change or we will make it change.

Thank you for reading.
