Sunday afternoon, September 25th, 2005, Roger Poisson was invited to speak in Denis Gregoire’s backyard in front of the big cross that Roger declared was offensive to both sides of the fence.  In front of a number of people, including two priests, everyone heard the words where no one could defy the reality of the statement.

Strangely, the Jewish mayor of Winnipeg, a former client of Poisson’s business, (where by the way his next door neighbour’s name was Mr. Pope) while in office, saw the city council decide in favour, and imagine a Jewish mayor, decided to let the cross stay put.  In another mention by Poisson, Samuel Cohen chairman, of the board of St. Boniface Hospital never complained about the cross on top of the hospital.  Izzy Asper, a true Jew in his faith, donated much money to support the cancer research at the St. Boniface Hospital that bears a cross on top of it.  Not bad for orthodox Jews.  Praise be to the Jews where they spoke in favour of all faiths, that this cross is now bringing together.

Believe it or not the cross is protecting the constitution, guaranteeing the sovereignty of God (second line of the amendment to the constitution, 1982).  Poisson’s talk was videotaped, where his life story was laid out for everyone to know, with no secrets, where knowingly or unknowingly, the very church that promotes the cross has partaken humanly in the destruction of many people… that now they are called to look at the cross…where the errors towards the First Nations people were like the snake bites to the Jews… where unto Moses we are to take those snake bites and for a look of faith, put them on the clotheslines… the two arms of the cross… to bring the tears to dry, where unjustly this man was  hung, so that today is that sentence into freedom for all, by justice.

Don’t mind me quoting from the scriptures:  “To the one who will bring peace to justice, I will give this to that one.  I shall be his God and he shall be My son.”

Are you that one who wants peace and justice?  I want to be.
