There was a man who dreamt about becoming a farmer.  He had made lots of money on the stock market and he invested some of it in buying the most appealing piece of land with perfect soil by a river, where one could dream as the man did.  He got all new, modern equipment and the land was begging for fertility.  The man bought all the seeds that he needed, got all the equipment ready but wasn’t accustomed to physical work, because he truly believed that the intelligence of man was not in labour but in thinking.

Suddenly, he got a change of heart because his philosophy was not working on the farm.  Because unless you seed, you cannot harvest and after seeding with God’s help through the sun and the rain and the man still has to weed out and make sure that his farm functions to the maximum possibility.  Then the man thinks, “What if it doesn’t rain for a while?  Then I might seed for nothing.”  Or “What if it rains too much?  I might lose everything!” And then, “The frost could come and ruin everything!  Even hail could strike out at my farm the day before harvest!”  So as in the stock market the man analyzed the situation and the odds were totally against him.  But one thing that he forgot to add in the other odds against him: “if I don’t seed, for sure nothing will grow and then all these others things don’t matter if I don’t seed.”  So now he’s down to one thing: his seeding.

So, the moral of this story is in the word “seed” you have to attach the word “faith”.  How do you attach the word “faith” to “seed”?  Pro (as a professional), you proceed.  You get to work because a pro believes that he is the Master.  Pro means “Master” or professional.  So when you proceed with confidence, then it is not labour anymore.  It becomes a hobby.  That’s why man rich men want to buy hobby-farms, a little place to have fun in the sun and in the rain, with a little river that flows.

So in the story of the farmer: you may have all that you think to have a good harvest at the end of your life.  But unless you proceed, getting involved into what you believe by partaking, putting the seed of volunteering or the costs that you would put in buying seeds, that you would put instead in where the success and morality of a nation is where the people participate in investing into the future, the success, the peace, the love and the family that one cannot establish without the rest of the members of its family, as a father dreams up children to help him farm the family farm.  It is not to benefit from them but to benefit for them.  As such, if you believe in your nation to become a true family, never think you’ve done it all, because it takes a season for things to grow.  And unless you invest into the growth of your nation, you are the one with the hobby-farm that never seeds a seed and becomes a waste of time and money.  In such, you are a lousy investor because you waste your money where you could invest properly to your own piece of mind in a time of peace.
