Honesty Is More Important Than to Dream

April 22, 2008

Today I recognize that the Truth means more than just to talk and do nothing. Pride forces people not to be honest and because of pride they will never recognize their mistakes. Today I talked to Bishop Danylak about some people from the bishop’s past because he is here today to recognize that he made mistakes and to change them. ‘I’m sorry my friend. It is important to recognize the truth today. The truth is more important than pride which causes you to lose everything.’

Today I ask you to consider all the people who may have meant nothing to you in the past - to learn from this example and to realize what it means. Today a young man goes to Mass everyday because Bishop Danylak recognized that he made a mistake and he wrote to the young boy saying, ‘I’m sorry I hurt you!’ That does not mean that the bishop was a terrible person for what happened but it means a lot that the bishop apologized. During the mass a young boy walked up to the bishop to say goodbye but instead of treating the boy gently - instructing him for the future, the bishop said, ‘Get out of here. I’m busy!’ The boy who was very sad said, ’I just wanted to say goodbye!’ And the bishop threw him out the door!

So the mother of the little boy told all her friends there and they were all angry because the bishop threw the little boy out the door when all he said was, ‘I love you!’ After this the mother called me and said, ‘Roger, the bishop can go to hell for doing this to my son!’ So I called the bishop and first he said to me, ‘Roger, tell the boy I’m sorry!’ But I said, ‘Bishop, do it yourself. Write the boy yourself, not me!’ He wrote to the boy and although the incident took place many years ago the boy (now a young man) still has the letter. He remembered the bishop’s apology. The bishop said, ‘I made mistakes’ and the boy loves the bishop for being honest.

Listen priests,

People call me because they know that we will learn together from our mistakes. You made mistakes too. Clean them. That is more important instead of saying, ‘Who cares!’ or ‘Get out!’ This is not the way it is with me. We receive many letters from people who don’t trust the priests. We read one of these letters to the bishop for him to understand. They are not bad people but they must realize what is most important - to recognize that you must love from the heart.

Here is another example (only for all of us to learn together). Just imagine, a woman called from the U.S. and she told me, ‘Bishop Danylak can go to the devil! I’m so hurt by this bishop. I’m so angry with him that I never want to see him again in my life.’ I asked her, ‘Why did you call me?’ And she said, ‘Because you know this priest. You know who he is. The bishop came to my restaurant. While he was there he made me feel like I meant nothing - that I was unimportant. I was angry because other people were more important for him than I was.’

So I called Bishop Danylak and said, ‘Bishop, you know I’m angry with you because this woman is crying and angry.’ That’s why she called me. She wanted to make sure the bishop recognized what he had done. I said, ‘Bishop call her yourself now and tell her in person that you’re sorry – that you made a mistake.’ The bishop said, ‘I understand why she’s angry. I’ll call her today and tell her I’m sorry!’ And now the woman visits him and is very happy knowing him.

Today priests and bishops,

Pride is from the devil. It exists instead of the truth which enables us to recognize the mistakes we’ve made. ‘In the Name of God’ people say. Will they do anything from the Spirit to be honest today instead of living out of pride? Today, I say, ‘Congratulations for the bishop!’ I know it seemed tough for him at the time but today the bishop is my friend and I love him from the heart because we realize we are all there to love each other, even the Pope – and I’ll tell you why I say this. Tonight it is time for people to recognize the Pope as a father from the heart. Even the Pope knows in his heart and realizes that he made mistakes. Never forget this work here. Never forget this work today.

A woman cried because Jesus was being killed. Jesus said, Woman, don’t cry for me because you will cry more for yourself. You will cry for your life because you are not ready to change your life. But one day when I come back you will cry so much until you realize I am here with you. Because you cry now, but learn to wake up my daughter and realize that even if they kill me - realize I still love you.

Someone asked Him, ‘When will you come back, Jesus? Do you realize that only a few people exist who believe in You anymore – very few people?’ And Jesus was also asked, ‘How many people exist that believe in the name of God? How many are there? And when will you come back for the Father? Tell us when!’

Jesus said this, You cried before, woman, proving to yourself that you have ‘given up’ - showing that you are not happy now. And look at the Mass on Sunday. Two weeks ago a priest asked me, ‘We pray everyday that Jesus does not forget us because we’ll lose everything!’ And I asked the priest, ‘Don’t you realize how close we are to His return?’ And the priest said, ‘I hope so!’

All priests must recognize the Truth today and the importance of learning together. They must ask God to continue to learn everyday and to finally listen to the Spirit of God so that priests who gave their lives because they believed in God one time realize that they married in the name of God.

So now what is more important than you, the priest marrying God is to wash feet – to work for all people. Then you are truly like Him and not proud. Wash their feet and love from your heart. That’s all you need. And then priests, the people will recognize that you are truly with God.

Recognize your mistakes. Learn to share with each other and love each other finally!

Yours truly,

Roger Poisson for the Spirit
