Once upon a Time...

Aufust 28, 2009

Once upon a time, you could not tell the truth because no one trusted you anymore and no one loved you anymore.  Then a flower appeared to you – a little snapdragon.

You couldn’t speak when you saw it - you just wished to be happy.  At that moment, the little flower was more powerful than the past.  You thought, “I guess someone loves me for sure because I have been given a flower.”
The truth is so powerful.  People who have known you forever are so shocked that even though you have made mistakes, you are changing your life.

What is more important – a flower or the truth of the past?  You decide which is more important.  Only one can be more important.  (I guess the flower is more important because people don’t trust you anymore!)
You have already learned.  People have always loved you, but now you must tell the truth.

Your heart looks like a flower .  First, learn something from a different flower.  Why do the flowers of love – the roses – have thorns?  They are saying, “Watch yourself.”  Someone gives you the flower, but there are thorns.  He should cut the thorns off, or you could sue him!

Why do flowers smell so good?  Why do you put on perfume to smell good?  Do you know that when you are 100% honest, you smell good like a flower?  Then people will find love.  Pride makes you afraid of yourself.  Recently, a young woman said to me, “I can’t believe I am free like before I even existed.  I am being honest.”

You see these little flowers – these snapdragons – they talk with each other.  Young children in school still say, “Once upon a time ...” and they believe it because it is like a new world – a virgin world.  “Once upon a time ...”  and they say the truth.   You see, they go to school and recognize the sacred, learning already about honesty.  Everyone understands it.

I ask people, “Can you say, “Once upon a time ...” or – “I made mistakes in the past?”  This is how to make sure that the young aren’t scared.  Talk from your heart to learn.  As a mother, you will say, “I made mistakes but I learned and I changed.”  You are sacred as this.

When you go to school for the first time, you will say, “Mom, did you do this?”
Your mother will say, “I suffered and survived but didn’t tell you all of my past.  I too must humble myself.”
Today, it is fascinating to learn this.  For the young woman will say, “Mom don’t cry.  Teach me.  We love each other.  You are teaching me not to suffer.  And I will find love.”

Once upon a time ...

“You see my flower today.  I hold it in my heart.  You look like this with me.  I made mistakes too, but now we talk.”
“Mom, you and I are the flowers together.  Thank you.  You truly love me.  You suffer for me.  Teach me to go to school forever.  I love you in my heart.”

Once upon a time is there now for you to talk to each other and share flowers.  First, you suffered, but now you will be there every day.

“You are a flower to me Mom.  God bless you.  You smell like a flower, Mom.”
